CLASS A DECKING BOARDS
Thermo pine boards are a natural and durable choice for terraces. They are distinguished by their dimensional stability, resistance to environmental influences and aesthetic appearance. Thanks to a special treatment process, the boards become more resistant to humidity fluctuations, are less prone to cracking and warping than regular wood. In addition, this wood does not require chemical impregnation, making it an environmentally friendly choice.
Origin of thermo pine boards
Our decking boards are supplied by Lunawood, a Finnish company with over 20 years of experience in the production of thermowood. Lunawood ThermoWood® products are distinguished by their exceptional dimensional stability, durability and natural beauty. The wood is processed at high temperatures without chemicals, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Class A decking boards – main features:
Class A quality is carefully selected wood that stands out for its aesthetic appearance and natural integrity. Minor knot marks and minor surface cracks are allowed, which do not affect the stability, durability, and overall visual appearance of the product.
Natural appearance – the wood has a uniform, rich brown color resulting from heat treatment. Over time, if not oiled, the color naturally takes on a grayish hue.
Dimensional stability – the boards are resistant to deformation and remain straight even with large changes in temperature and humidity.
Durability – resistant to rot, mold and wood pests, does not require additional impregnation.
Environmentally friendly – made without chemical additives, only using high temperatures.
Cozy texture – the surface is soft, without burrs or ridges, making it suitable for walking barefoot.
Less weight – due to the reduction in moisture, the boards are lighter than untreated wood, making them more convenient to transport and install.
Thermomodification process
During heat treatment, the temperature of the wood is raised above 215 °C, and the process lasts from 1.5 to 3 days. During this process, water and resins are removed from the wood, and the wood itself becomes more resistant to external factors and less responsive to changes in humidity. This allows the boards to maintain their shape and properties for longer.

Installation and maintenance
The MDS Terrace expert team recommends using the CAMO invisible fastening system and Protech wood screws .
To preserve the color of the boards, it is recommended to periodically oil the terrace with WOCA EXRERIOR OIL pigmented oil (there are 13 colors in the color range, one of which is natural). MDS terraces recommends renewing the terrace boards every year (the frequency of board maintenance depends on their operating conditions and environmental factors).
