Thermal Modification Technology

During heat treatment, the wood temperature is first raised above 215 °C and then returned to normal temperature. The treatment takes between 1.5 and 3 days and is regulated using hot air and steam. The wood structure changes, removingwater and extracts such as resin (terpenes). Under the influence of the heat treatment process, the structure of the wood changes, and the resistance of terrace boards to external factors increases. The reaction to changes in humidity in the environment decreases, regardless of changing weather conditions, the thermal pine terrace board KALNELIS with notches remains stable.

Supervision

For the aesthetic appearance and to maintain the color of the thermal pine terrace boards, we recommend covering the surface with WOCA EXRERIOR OIL with pigment (the color range includes 13 colors, one of which is natural). MDS terraces recommends renewing the terrace boards every year (depending on the operating conditions and the direction of the terrace installation).
