Thermo wood boards 19x138x5700 made of pine are not only ecological, but also resistant to woodbores and rot. It is characterized by stability, sustainability and durability, immunity to environmental factors, withstands large changes in humidity and temperature. Due to the authentic processing technology used, thermal pine wood boards gain an aesthetic advantage, their surface becomes soft, non-abrasive, and it is pleasant to walk on them barefoot.
Thermal wood boards
Thermal wood is wood treated with steam and heat at a temperature of 180-215°C. Under the influence of the heat treatment process, the structure of the wood changes, and the resistance of terrace boards to external factors increases. The reaction to changes in humidity in the environment is reduced, regardless of changing weather conditions, the shape of the thermal pine terrace board remains stable.
The effects of heat treatment on pine wood are most evident: dimensional stability, color darkness, and durability.
Dimensional stability
Thermal wood boards are stable: they do not split, warp, curl or “walk” like other types of wood, such as hardwoods. It perfectly retains its shape and color.
Color darkness
Thermo pine decking boards have a rich brown color, which depends on the temperature during the treatment process – the higher it is, the darker the color.
Longevity
The properties of thermally treated wood are improved by burning the cellulose – protein during the treatment process, so thermal pine boards do not rot and the terrace becomes more durable. This is relevant in the unstable and rather harsh climate of Lithuania.
Quality class
These pine thermal wood boards belong to the AB quality class. It is a type of wood that meets high quality standards. Read more in the “Quality description” section. Due to its technical characteristics, it is perfect for long-term construction projects.
Type AB decking boards are a mixture of type A and type B boards (ratio A – 70%, B – 30%).

Supervision
For the aesthetic appearance and to maintain the color of the thermal pine terrace boards, we recommend covering the surface with WOCA EXRERIOR OIL with pigment (the color range includes 13 colors, one of which is natural). MDS terraces recommends renewing the terrace boards every year (depending on the operating conditions and the direction of the terrace installation).
