Wooden outdoor paneling made of thermal pine, resistant to woodbores and rot. It is characterized by stability, sustainability and durability, withstands large changes in humidity and temperature. Nordic pine treated with special technology and high heat is not only high-quality, but also a great-looking aesthetic material for facades and terraces.
Wooden outdoor paneling
Thermal wood is wood treated with steam and heat at a temperature of 180-215°C. Under the influence of the heat treatment process, the structure of the wood changes, and the resistance of terrace boards to external factors increases. The reaction to changes in humidity in the environment is reduced, regardless of changing weather conditions, the shape of the thermal pine terrace board remains stable. The effects of heat treatment on pine wood are most evident: dimensional stability, color darkness, and durability.
Dimensional stability
Wooden outdoor paneling made of thermal pine is stable: it does not crack, it does not warp, it does not “walk” like other types of wood, such as hardwood types. Chipboards perfectly retain their shape and color.
Color darkness
Thermo pine wooden outdoor siding is characterized by a rich brown color, which depends on the temperature during the treatment process – the higher it is, the darker the color.
Longevity
The properties of thermally treated wood are improved by the burning of cellulose – protein during the treatment process, so thermal pine siding does not rot and the terrace becomes more durable. This is relevant in the unstable and rather harsh climate of Lithuania.
Quality class
These thermal pine wooden outdoor panels belong to the AB quality class. It is a type of wood that meets high quality standards. Read more in the “Quality description” section. Type AB decking boards are a mixture of type A and type B boards (ratio A – 70%, B – 30%).
Processing class
The TermoD wood treatment class means that Nordic pine wood is heated up to 212°C and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

The MDS terrace expert team recommends the installation of thermal pine paneling using screw foundations, the CAMO invisible fastening system and Protech screwdrivers .
Supervision
For the aesthetic appearance and to maintain the color on the thermal facade and terrace boards, it is recommended to cover the surface WOCA tinted oil . In order for natural factors – wind, rain and sunlight – to give the facade a shade of gray, thermal wood boards can be used without surface treatment.
