Thermo pine facade cladding
It is characterized by stability, sustainability and durability, immunity to environmental factors, withstands large changes in humidity and temperature. They are environmentally friendly, resistant to woodworm and rot. Due to the authentic processing technology used, thermal pine boards gain an aesthetic advantage. Thermally treated siding panels for the facade are less likely to crack and chip than other types of boards that are popular in our country.
Thermal wood
Thermal wood is wood treated with steam and heat at a temperature of 180-215°C. Under the influence of the heat treatment process, the structure of the wood changes, the resistance of the paneling to external factors increases. The reaction to changes in humidity in the environment is reduced, regardless of changing weather conditions, the shape of the thermal pine facade board remains stable.
The effects of heat treatment on pine wood are most evident: dimensional stability, color darkness, and durability.
Dimensional stability
Facade cladding made of thermo-pine is stable: it does not split, sag, or “walk” like other types of wood, such as hardwood. Keeps its shape and color perfectly.
Color darkness
Thermo pine facade cladding features a rich brown color, which depends on the temperature during the treatment process – the higher the temperature, the darker the color.
Longevity
The properties of thermally treated wood are improved by the burning of cellulose – protein during the treatment process, so thermal pine boards do not rot and become more durable. This is relevant in the unstable and rather harsh climate of Lithuania.
Quality class
This facade cladding in thermo pine is of quality class AB. It is a type of wood that meets high quality standards. Read more in the “Quality description” section.
AB-type siding is a mixture of A and B-type boards (ratio A – 70%, B – 30%).

Processing class
The TermoD wood treatment class means that Nordic pine wood is heated up to 212°C and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Supervision
For the sake of aesthetic appearance and to maintain the color of thermal pine siding, we recommend covering the surface with WOCA EXTERIOR OIL with pigment (the color range includes 13 colors, one of which is natural). MDS terraces recommends renewing the terrace boards every year (depending on the operating conditions and the direction of the terrace installation).
