Fava Amargosa is an extremely durable and elegant board with a distinctive natural wood grain, resistant to moisture, UV rays and deformation. One side of the board is smooth, the other is ribbed. It is recommended to install with 7 mm gaps between the boards.

Hardwood boards Fava Amargosa are characterized by stiffness, strength, impact resistance, medium shrinkage and good stability. Stable, tested MDS pro board. As an exotic species, it moves little, beautiful color.
It is recommended to drill through hardwood before screwing. If the boards are joined at the ends along the length, it is necessary to leave gaps of 3-4 mm. The recommended frame for the structure is aluminum, hardwood or thermowood. A metal structure is also possible, in which case invisible fixings from below can be used.
Characteristics
This hardwood has a beautiful tawny color with distinct lighter streaks. If exotic wood planks Fava Amargosa are not oiled, they will patina in the sun and turn gray.
Hardwood boards Fava Amargosa: care
We recommend treating once a year with WOCA natural clear oil (in this case the board will gradually gray from UV) or WOCA oil with pigment to preserve and enhance the wood’s color.
Mounting
It is recommended to double the lags at the front and back of the structure, and the following gaps between the lags are 35 – 40 cm to control the curling of the ends of the boards. Doubling lages is also mandatory in the joining lines of boards. For fastening, A4 direct fastenings can be used through the top of the board, invisible stainless steel invisible fastenings such as CAMO or Fastshifter, or a special invisible fastening from below. The recommended space between the boards is 7 mm ( a spacer is used).
It is recommended to pre-drill the screw holes to prevent splitting and cracking. Use only stainless steel screws or fasteners . Avoid contact with corrosive metal objects, which can cause hard-to-remove blue-black stains on the wood.
