Pine thermal lags for terraces, sheds and other light building structures. Thermal pine timber 42x68x4200 for terrace framing. This structural timber beam is resistant to load and environmental factors.
Thermal timber lags
Thermal wooden lags for terraces made of pine are wood treated with steam and heat at a temperature of 180-215°C. Under the influence of the heat treatment process, the structure of the wood changes, and the resistance of terrace roofs to external factors increases. The reaction to changes in humidity in the environment decreases, regardless of changing weather conditions, the shape of the thermal pine terrace lag remains stable. The effects of heat treatment on pine wood are most evident: dimensional stability, color darkness, and durability.
Dimensional stability
Thermal wood slats are stable: they do not split, split, curl or “walk” like other types of wood, such as hardwoods. They keep their shape and color perfectly.
Longevity
The properties of thermally treated wood are improved by the burning of cellulose – protein during the treatment process, so thermal pine logs do not rot and the terrace becomes more durable. This is relevant in the unstable and rather harsh climate of Lithuania.
Mounting
The team of MDS terrace experts recommends the use of thermal pine logs for the installation of light building structures.
