Instructions for oiling a terrace with WOCA oil
Oiling a terrace or other object with professional, ecological, high-quality WOCA oil is simple and easy. Follow the steps listed below consistently and enjoy excellent results!
- Before oiling, clean new and old wooden surfaces using WOCA exterior cleaner for wooden decks.
- Allow the wood to dry for at least 24 hours. A moisture content of no more than 17% is recommended.
- Sand down any unevenness in the wood grain as needed using 120-grit sandpaper.
- Apply oil only in dry weather conditions and at a temperature not lower than +13°C.
- Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures.
- Stir WOCA oil well before use and repeat the procedure during work to prevent the pigment from settling.
- Using a brush, sponge or applicator, apply the oil in an even, thick layer.
- After a maximum of 5 minutes, wipe off excess oil using a cotton cloth. Be especially careful to remove excess oil from joints and grooves.
- If the surface appears to be saturated with oil, repeat the steps.
