Sustainability
Scandic WPC decking board Concrete Grey is made using solar energy. Only recycled plastic (HDPE) is used in the production of the boards.
Composition of Scandic WPC plastic-composite boards:
60% bamboo wood flour
30% recycled plastic (HDPE)
10 percent additives, stabilizers
Technical recommendations:
- The boards should not be laid directly on the ground, they should be attached to the beams of a suitable supporting structure.
- We recommend using aluminum or galvanized metal profiles and wooden beams for the supporting structure. The structure must be formed in such a way that parallel, evenly spaced rows are formed with a slope for water drainage.
- The slope from the side of the building should be 5-10mm per 1m. The recommended distance between the joists should not exceed 40 cm. In order to prevent the boards from rolling, we recommend reducing the gap between the first and second edge joists to 20 cm.
- When connecting the boards, it is necessary to leave an expansion gap of 6mm.
