Integrity of terrace materials

When building a terrace, an important moment worth paying attention to is the integrity of the terrace materials
If you have decided to use one of the more durable types of terrace boards (naturally more durable and more expensive) for decoration, whatever it is – the beloved Lithuanian larch, thermal wood or wood-plastic composite terrace boards, do not hesitate to invest in the terrace structure. If the terrace is made of larch, it is recommended to build the frame also from larch. In the case of thermal wood boards, it is best that the lags are also made of thermal wood or of the same larch . Well, if it is wood-plastic composite boards, it is best to make the lower frame from metal (or larch).
Many people focus on decking when planning patios. On the one hand, this is natural, because in the final result you will only see them, and for you, as users, this is the most important aspect. However, it should be noted that the terrace boards are only a decoration, it is the same as wallpapering the walls inside the house, and before that the wall had to be bricked, plastered, polished, leveled for wallpapering and only then wallpapered. It’s the same with the terrace – its base is under the terrace boards. Foundations and framework are the actual construction of the terrace.
Why is the integrity of patio materials important?
An example of what happens when non-solid materials are used. The terrace is 10 years old. Part of the frame is made of larch, and the crossbars are made of pine. There is nothing left of her… Meanwhile, the larch is still “alive”.
So, when designing your most cozy place in the house, the terrace, pay attention not only to the terrace boards, but also to its foundation.
