Washing and renewing the terrace is an important element of terrace care

What measures should be taken to make this process go as smoothly as possible and not damage the decking boards?

The MDS terrace team has tested many products for washing the terrace. We favorably evaluate American “MEX” and Finnish “Tikkurilos” powders, but “WOCA” cleaning products met the highest quality standards and justified expectations. The WOCA outdoor product line includes two cleaners for wood/terraces.

Often wooden terraces are left natural, without covering anything. The tree quickly turns gray from UV rays and the environment, and over time it becomes covered with dust and mold formations.

There are products that can help your terrace return to its “parade” look.

Terrace washing “WOCA exterior cleaner”

Outdoor wood cleaner is a special cleaner designed for cleaning terraces, facades and other outdoor wood. When it comes to terrace use, the product effectively removes dirt, graying, rust marks, algae and lichen from wooden boards and other wooden surfaces. Also, the tool opens the pores in the wood and it absorbs the oil better and lasts longer. Grinding is not required.

The work is simple. You need to sweep, clean the terrace. Moisten the wood and spread the product evenly on the decking boards. Leave the cleaner to absorb for about 15 minutes. You probably expected that the following sentence would be – wash the terrace and it will magically and evenly light up. If so, we have to disappoint you. After 15 minutes you will have to grab a brush and rub the terrace along the direction of the boards. After that, wash the terrace thoroughly. The procedure will have to be repeated for heavily grayed terraces.

WOCA Exterior Wood Cleaner

Generally speaking, this is terrace soap. With its help, washing the terrace becomes an easy task. If you just want to wash the terrace or wash the dirt/fungal formations from the terrace before oiling, wash the terrace with WOCA exterior wood cleaner .

WOCA Deep Cleaner

It is an intensive cleaner that penetrates deep through the pores of the wood and removes dirt and old oil. It is also used when you want to renew the gray color of the wood.

The product is very easy to prepare – you can spray the surface or apply it with a brush after pouring it into the bucket. Wet the decking or other wood, apply/spray the decking boards, then scrub with a stiff brush. Rinse again and your patio will be renewed. It remains only to cover with oil. Of course, you shouldn’t expect the wood to become as light as birch and smell like a sawmill, but the color is significantly renewed.
